Well I have recently seen a couple of articles, including this one, discussing using OpenDNS instead of your local ISPs DNS servers to speed up web page access.
If you have a router the easiest way is to change the DNS servers in the router itself, rather than each individual computer.
This service is free. They make money from advertising when you enter a non-existent url. Instead of being taken to the normal 404 page, an OpenDNS page will display.
The service will also block phishing sites and autocorrect simple spelling errors.
I have found a speed improvement since using these servers so I'm going to stick with them.
Driving home from Brandon yesterday I was nearly hit by some idiot passing me in road construction. The idiot passed by me as he was too impatient to travel behind me for about another half a minute. While passing by me a car came from the other direction and in order to get back on the right side he cut right in front of me and I had to brake in order to not get hit.
Here is a picture of the idiot's vehicle with Manitoba license plate ENA 534.
Same day, but heading in to Brandon to pick up Christopher, I had an idiot driver pass me on a solid line.
At least that time there was no traffic in the other direction and I didn't get cut off and nearly hit.
Both idiot drivers and could use some driving tips from Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation.
I found a great deal on a webcam for the notebook.
Next is a picture of Bart's truck taking back a chair for my grandmother.
Last night, I noticed a deer outside in the front yard. A bit difficult to see. The deer is just at the left edge of the picture.
My bluetooth headset broke. At least it is still under warranty so hopefully this shouldn't be a problem. UPDATE: Got a refund for it.
Christopher got some Star Wars Lego for Christmas. Her are some before, during, and after shots while building the Lego. He got Jabba's Sail Barge and the V-wing Fighter.
